----- The stone had sat there for as long as anyone in the Grand Aerie could remember. It wasn't like the other rocks that adorned the caves of the mountain peaks. This one was glass-smooth, and easily big enough to fit even the largest of the Regal Drakes inside. Its sides were rounded, tapered from a wide bottom to a narrow top. And down its side was a jagged furrow from peak to base. All these features combined to give it the appearance of an egg cracked straight down the middle.

----- Noone recalled how the rock had been made, since it was certain that it had not been formed naturally. But an ancient story held that it was a seal. As the tale went, long ago, the King of the Regal Drakes set out to engulf the world in war in order to bring every living creature under his dominion. But a mage of the feeble race of humans confronted the bloodthirsty monarch and, sacrificing his own life, sealed both himself and the draconic king. Since then, the Regal Drakes had never been ruled by a King again. And all counted their race the better for it.

----- Stella, a delphinic dragon warrior from the aquatic city of Delphinia, rests upon a small hill overlooking the monument of a bygone era of rule. Her smooth, delphinic-skinned wings spread out gracefully as she mediates, taking in the wind and the sun of the surrounding area. Her armor rattles gently in the wind, before her wings drawl back to shield her once more from the flowing currents of air.

----- She closes her eyes, focusing on the spiritual astral that emanates from the surrounding lands. Her hands tracing down to the grass, fingertips tracing over the blue blade of her sword, before returning them to her lap, clicking softly as she takes in the energy from the surrounding air.

----- The leaves on the trees swayed suddenly, against the direction of the wind. A small tremor pased through the mountain, rattling small stones and stirring up the dust. And the great stone shuddered slightly, a muffled crack sounding from deep within
